Pinch-hitter Eddie Wilson drew a two-out base on balls in the fifth inning and came around to score what proved to be the winning run on a single by Beckley shortstop Kenny Maiola.

Trailing 6-3 early in the game, Harrison County chipped away at the lead, starting with a single run in the third when Nate Fernandez drove home John Renzelli. Harrison County tied the game in the fourth, as Eric Sprouse scored on an error, and Tanner Colley scored on Braeden Hurst's double.

Harrison County erased an early 1-0 deficit, scoring three runs in the second inning on a run-scoring single by Josh West and a two-run double off the bat of Austin Tenney. But Beckley quickly regained the lead, thanks to three Harrison County errors in the bottom of the second. Ryan Brandstetter and Dylan Foster each powered run-producing doubles in the inning.

Beckley scored in the first inning when Maiola led off the game with a double, scoring when Brandstetter followed with a single.

Brandstetter earned the win on the mound, pitching three innings in relief and striking out four. Colley was tagged with the loss, pitching the final 4 2/3 innings of relief.

Colley led Harrison County with three hits, and Sprouse added two more. Brandstetter had three hits to lead Beckley, while Maiola and Anthony Wilson each had two hits.

Beckley will play the loser of the Elkins-Huntington Southeast game at 5:30 p.m. today.
