Elkins ON TRAC will showcase the work of local artists at the third annual Artists Gather Street Fair Aug. 2 in downtown Elkins.
Local artists are invited to display and sell their work at the fair on Third Street from 3 to 7 p.m.
The event is an opportunity for artists to introduce themselves and their work to the community and for shoppers to find unique handmade products.
Shoppers look at artwork during last year’s ON TRAC Artists Gather Street Fair.
"Street fair visitors can purchase quality handmade gifts or products for the home and also meet the artists who made them," said Cindy Sandeno, president of the Artists at Work co-op.
The street fair will be held in conjunction with First Friday activities at downtown businesses.
Third Street will be closed to vehicular traffic from Davis Avenue to Kerens Avenue to provide a venue for art displays and sales. A 10-by-10-foot space and one 8-foot table will be provided for each participating artist.
Entertainment will be provided by local musicians.
All products brought for sale at the fair must be produced by vendors. Both fine art and craft items such as sewing and wood products as well as artisan food items, including breads, jams and jellies, are welcome.
Artists must register in advance to participate in the street fair. Registration forms may be requested by emailing email@example.com. Forms are also posted on the Elkins ON TRAC Facebook page. Printed forms are available at the ON TRAC office, located in the Darden House, 421 Davis Ave.
