Mr. Clifford William "Bud" Talbott, 70, a resident of Belington, departed this life Monday morning July 8, 2013, in the emergency department of Davis Memorial Hospital at Elkins. Death was unexpected.
He was born Dec. 24, 1942, in Junior, a son of the late Junior Harrison "Rip" Talbott and Rhoda Alice Critchfield Vandergrift, who survives.
On April 18, 1965, he was united in marriage to the former Marylen Gay Thompson, who survives at their home in Belington.
Mr. Talbott is survived by one daughter, Renee McGee and husband, Pat, of Philippi; one son, Ronnie Talbott and companion, Amanda Summerfield, of Belington; and five grandchildren, Joseph Dale, Lindsay Rae, Matthew Blaine and Nicholas Cole Talbott and Patrick Brice McGee. Also surviving are six siblings, Delmas Talbott and wife, Ladonna, of Virginia, Janet Phillips and husband, Raymond, of Belington, Karen Annand of Virginia, Sandra Harris and husband, Herman, of Virginia, Naoma Talbott of Virginia, and Debra Corder of Virginia.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Fay Vandergrift.
Mr. Talbott graduated from Belington High School with the class of 1961 and retired as a meat cutter from A&P Grocery. He was a Protestant by faith.
At the request of the deceased, his remains will be cremated. A graveside service will be announced at a later date.
