Valerie Roy-Bright and Jesse Roy recently presented a check for $8682.82 to board members of the United Way of Randolph County – the first contribution to the organization’s 2013-14 campaign. The daughter and husband of the late Rev. Gloria Roy offered the financial support to United Way from proceeds of the New Life Fellowship Church founded by Rev. Roy. The United Way has increased its annual fundraising goal for the coming campaign year to $170,000 to meet the growing needs of Randolph County in an ongoing tough economy.
