Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital is pleased to welcome Tyler Hall, D.O., to the medical staff and hospital family.
Dr. Hall is a Lewis County High School graduate. He received his undergraduate degree in biology and chemistry from Glenville State College.
He received his medical degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg in 2010. Dr. Hall recently completed his residency at United Hospital Center in Clarksburg.
He is married to Jacki Hall, a nurse at SJMH. He will be working in the SJMH ED.
"I am so happy to be able to practice in my hometown hospital. I will be working with my family and friends. It has been a fun road and I have learned so much along the wayas a matter of fact I am still learning with each shift I work," said Hall.
Hall is board-certified in family medicine. He has a special interest in sports medicine and emergency medicine.
SJMH CEO Avah Stalnaker noted that it is sometimes difficult to recruit physicians to the area from other states, so it is much better when the doctor is "homegrown."
She said, "It is best when the physician and his/her family have ties to West Virginia. This is the case of Dr. Hall. Both he and his wife are from Weston and were educated in West Virginia.
Dr. Hall is the type of young professional that SJMH hopes to continue to recruit. He is a role model for other students in Lewis County and surrounding counties who have an interest in any health care profession."
