The Randolph County Partners in Prevention Team is planning a community baby shower for pregnant and new mothers of children ages 12 months and younger in Randolph County.
The shower is scheduled for Sept. 14 and will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church in Elkins.
The goal is to provide participants with health, safety and support information, as well as celebrate the births of their children. Mothers must register for the event by calling the Randolph County Family Resource Network at 304-636-4454. Sept. 9 is the registration deadline. Those who are registered will receive a gift bag, including essential infant supplies they will need as new mothers. Space is limited to 30 mothers. This event is free, and refreshments will be provided.
The Partners in Prevention team would like to extend a special thanks to those who have donated door prizes and giveaway items to this year's fair.
This event is made possible through collaborative efforts of The Randolph County Partners in Prevention Team. The team consists of the Randolph County Family Resource Network, Women's Aid in Crisis, Youth Health Services, Randolph County Children's Advocacy Center, Randolph County Board of Education and the Randolph County office of the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources. Funding is provided in part by the West Virginia Children's Trust Fund and the Benedum Foundation.
