The McFly Outdoor Concert Series continues this Saturday evening at Stonewall Resort with local rockabilly band Ryan Cain & The Ables, with special guest Dave Daughtry, performing under the stars on the Roanoke Activity Plaza lawn. The concert is provided through the generous sponsorship of McFly Outdoors in conjunction with the Stonewall State Park Foundation.
Steve Ludwig, director of sales and marketing at Stonewall Resort, said, "The Stonewall State Park Foundation is proud to host these local rising stars for another concert this summer, and we encourage the public to come out and join us."
Beginning at 6:30 p.m., area artist Dave Daughtry will perform on the Roanoke Activity Plaza lawn. At approximately 7:30 p.m., Ryan Cain and the Ables will take the stage. According to the band's website, "Ryan Cain and the Ables are a high energy rockabilly band from Clarksburg, West Virginia. In addition to original songs, a Ryan Cain and the Ables show is a history lesson on the early influences of rock and roll. Equally versed in guitar, standup bass and piano, Ryan covers music from Buddy Holly, Jerry Lee Lewis, Eddie Cochran, Elvis Presley, and a whole lot more. The Ables perform much more than a concert, it is a musical journey paying tribute to the pioneers of rock and roll, rockabilly and early country music."
"We hope the public will come out, bring the entire family and enjoy this excellent evening of entertainment at Stonewall Resort," Ludwig concluded.
There is a $5 per car admission fee to enter Stonewall Resort State Park Saturday. Once inside the park grounds, there is no cost to attend the concert. Guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs. Barbecue and other food items will be available for purchase at the event.
