St. Joseph’s Hospital picks Smith as VIP

St. Joseph's Hospital ho ored Jean Smith, longtime employee at St. Joseph's Hospital, with their Valued Inspired Person Award, or VIP, at a recent ceremony at the hospital.

"Jean is truly deserving of this award," said Sue Johnson-Phillippe, President and CEO. "Her hard work and dedication to the mission of our hospital means that she lives our values every day."

Jean works in the laundry department of St. Joseph's Hospital and her co-workers say that she can make people smile at even the most difficult of times. Other acknowledgements included comments about how welcoming Jean is to visitors; her ever-present smile; and how her kindness and dependability set an example for the mission and values of the hospital.
