The 2013 Miss Randolph County Fair and Miss Teen Randolph County Fair pageants will take place at 7 p.m. Saturday at Camp Pioneer in Beverly.
A queen, first runner-up and second runner-up will be chosen in each division after contestants compete in private interview, streetwear, evening gown and on-stage interview categories. A Miss Photogenic and Miss Congeniality will also be chosen in each division.
Additionally, each contestant will submit an exhibit for the Randolph County Fair Queen's Class of exhibits; these exhibits will be judged separately. The blue ribbon exhibit in each division will receive an award of Best Exhibit. Throughout the night, the exhibits submitted by the contestants will be auctioned off in a silent auction open to all in attendance.
Entertainment will include a performance by Ishah Franks.
Admission is $4 per adult, $2 per child ages 5-13 and free for children under 5. Concessions will be available for purchase as well.
Five contestants will vie for the title of Miss Randolph County Fair.
Makenzie Cooper, sponsored by her family, is the 17-year-old daughter of Terry and Roxanna Cooper of Elkins.
Ashley Fates, sponsored by Mary's Maytag Laundry Mat, is the 21-year-old daughter of Crystal Scott and Brad Scott of Elkins.
Amber Marstiller is the 16-year-old daughter of Charlie and Tina Marstiller of Beverly.
Katelyn Harris, sponsored by Appalachian Signs LLC and Appalachian Self-Storage, is the 17-year-old daughter of Tim and Leesa Harris of Montrose.
Sara Weiford, sponsored by her family and friends, is the 17-year-old daughter of Terri and Alan Weiford of Elkins.
Six contestants will compete for the title of Miss Teen Randolph County Fair.
Beth Zirkle, sponsored by her family, is the 14-year-old daughter of Kathie and Danny Staten and Jason and Cheryl Zirkle. She is from Elkins.
Nadya Keefer, sponsored by her family, is the14-year old daughter of John and Rosie Keefer of Elkins.
Jaeda Jenkins, sponsored by Linda Mathias, Millers Car Co., Amy and David Will and Hunter's Haven, is the 13-year-old daughter of Karla Jenkins of Coalton.
Morgan Swisher, sponsored by Mary Jo's Hair Affair, is the 15-year-old daughter of Richard and Bridget Swisher of Elkins.
Destiny Brown, sponsored by David Davis Heating and Cooling and Sharp Jewelry, is the 15-year-old daughter of Gene Teter and Gina Brown of Elkins.
Alexis Noel, sponsored by Belington Exxon, Charlie's Auto Sales and Sheekie Boutiquee Salon, is the 15-year-old daughter of William and Patricia Noel of Elkins.
