Two Philippi men are free on bond after police officers discovered methamphetamine, two stolen guns and other items at their residence.
David Scott Croston, 30, and Travis Lee Adams, 33, both of Route 2, Box 313F, Philippi, were arrested Wednesday and were each charged with a felony count of operating a clandestine lab, according to the complaint in Barbour County Magistrate Court.
Both men were released from the Tygart Valley Regional Jail Friday morning after posting a cash-only bond in the amount of $50,000 each.
The complaint states that an anonymous informant told law enforcement that Adams and Croston made methamphetamine in the basement of their home and that they were in possession of two allegedly stolen guns.
After obtaining a search warrant, Sgt. John A. Wyatt and other members of the West Virginia State Police found methamphetamine and its cooking ingredients, byproducts, consuming devices, scales, bags and the two allegedly stolen guns upon searching the home, the complaint stated.
