Alexandria Michelle White

Mountain State Forest Festival Director General Cricket Leary has announced the appointment of Alexandria Michelle White of Elkins the 77th Royal Court.

Alexandria is the daughter of Forrest and Christina White of New Castle, Va. Her grandparents are Rick and Wanda Cutright of Elkins and Dennis and Debbie White of New Castle, Va. She has two sisters, Kora and Augustina White and a brother, Kirk White.

Princess Alexandria is a graduate of Craig County High School and is presently attending Davis & Elkins College. While in high school, she was a member of the Beta Club, attended Girls State, won the ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Merit Award Voice of Democracy, received the outstanding Student English award, the Woodmen of the World award, the American History award, and was part of the Old Brick Playhouse Studio Productions from 2008 to 2011. She received the academic and theater scholarship to Davis & Elkins College and has been on the deans list since the fall of 2012. Alex is an English major at D&E and has worked in costumes for the last two years. She was in a ballet performance of the Nutcracker at the Roanoke Civic Center with the Southwest Virginia Theater Company. Her future plans are to continue her education in library science. Her hobbies include reading, theater productions, and travel, with special plans to tour London.
