A two-vehicle accident in Barbour County resulted in a teenage girl being life-flighted to a Morgantown hospital on Tuesday afternoon, officials said.
Philippi Police Chief Jeff Walters confirmed that the victim was a 16-year-old and that the accident occurred at the intersection of Route 250 and 4-H Road near Philippi at around 3 p.m.
The victim is a student at Phillip Barbour High School student, according to Dr. Joseph Super, superintendant of Barbour County schools.
"The only other thing I can say is I hope she's all right," Super said.
Traffic was shut down for 30 minutes while officials attended to the accident.
