The Elkins-Randolph County Chamber of Commerce is once again combining efforts with the Randolph County Development Authority, Elkins ON TRAC and the Randolph County business community to aid in sharpening your business skills with the third annual Building Blocks for Business kickoff seminar.

A daylong seminar will take place at the Randolph County Development Authority on Friday, Sept. 13. Geared toward existing businesses, this program will include a morning session on "Retooling your business plan for today's competitive market" by Dr. Carol Carter, department chair of business and entrepreneurship at Davis & Elkins College.

A round-table discussion will take place in the afternoon allowing an open flow of questions and answers.

The round-table discussion will feature individuals from the community who represent specific areas of business such as accounting, city government, finance, real estate and insurance, as well as local business owners.

The seminar will start at 9 a.m. on Sept. 13 at the Randolph County Development Authority, 10 Eleventh St. in Elkins, and will end at 3 p.m.

Following the kickoff seminar, additional seminars will take place in the coming months covering a wide range of topics focused on helping new businesses, existing businesses and the workforce community.

ERCCC Executive Director Jess Arbogast said, "We're excited to kick off the Building Blocks seminars again this year and look forward to helping our business community succeed. We hope to continue to promote new business and economic growth along with partnering organizations Elkins ON TRAC and the Randolph County Development Authority."
