Buckhannon Community Theatre will be presenting Richard O'Brien's "The Rocky Horror Show" at the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum on Thursday Sept. 12; Friday, Sept. 13; Sept 19; and Sept. 20. The Thursday shows begin at 8 p.m. and the Friday shows begin at midnight.
The stage production gave way to "The Rocky Horror Picture Show," the 1975 musical comedy horror film which still stands as the longest-running theatrical release in film history. Audience members are invited to fully participate in the typical antics of the play, including calling out and throwing traditional items at specific times.
The cast, led by director Jeremiah Smallridge, will entertain with favorite musical numbers from the hilarious tribute to science fiction and horror B movies such as "Time Warp," "Touch-a, Touch-a, Touch-a, Touch Me" and "Science Fiction/Double Feature."
Tickets are $25 and can be purchased on TALA's website at www.trans-alleghenylunaticasylum.com. This is an adult-only show with mature content; therefore, audience members must be 18 years or older to attend.
