Tucker to entertain Northern for key tilt

PARSONS - Tucker County looks to extend its regular-season win streak to 12 games when Northern (Md.) pays a visit to Class of 1984 Alumni Stadium at R.H. Armstrong Field.

Last week, Tucker County blanked Tygarts Valley, 49-0. During the contest, quarterback Seth Underwood rushed for 141 yards and scored three touchdowns, while Zach Armstrong carried the ball eight times for 75 yards and two touchdowns, and Daniel Kisamore had 51 yards rushing and a touchdown.

Tucker County had 292 yards of total offense with 252 of that on the ground in the contest. Defensively, the Mountain Lions have only given up one touchdown this season.

Northern Garrett (1-0) defeated Smithfield, Md., 7-6 in its opener.

Junior Trevon Jones had 126 yards on 12 carries and sophomore Jake Vernon had 63 yards rushing and a touchdown in the victory.
