BUCKHANNON - California won its fifth straight match with a 3-0 victory (25-19, 25-18, 25-16) over Wesleyan Tuesday night at the Rockefeller Center.
With the win, the Vulcans improved to 5-3 overall with all five victories being decided in three games. Meanwhile, the Bobcats fell to 2-6 this season after losing four of their last five matches.
Wesleyan will return to action at 2 p.m. Friday vs. Clarion in the MEC/PSAS Crossover.

Slippery Rock 3, ABU 1
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - The Alderson Broaddus women's volleyball team lost to non-conference opponent Slippery Rock University 3-1 (20-25, 28-30, 25-20, 21-25) on Tuesday.
Ashley MacDonald led the Battlers with 16 kills, while Megan Christmann finished with 13.
Both also finished with double-double performances with 15 and 10 digs, respectively.
Former Philip Barbour High School standout Lauren Rogers added 26 assists, Kayla Peterson 14 assists and Victoria Morgan six block assists.
The Rock compiled a .232 hitting percentage against the Battlers. Three players registered 10 or more kills, led by Caroline Houston with 14.
ABU (3-6) will take part in the Davis & Elkins College Tournament beginning on Friday. The Battlers will face Seton Hill University at 7 p.m.
