A free showing of Marvel Studio's "Iron Man 3" will be presented by Davis & Elkins College and the Campus Activities Board at 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21. The community is invited to take a ringside seat at the college's Outdoor Amphitheatre as Tony Stark/Iron Man takes on his most powerful villains yet.
The film stars Robert Downey Jr. as Stark, a brash-but-brilliant industrialist. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy's hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?
The film is rated PG-13 and also stars Jon Favreau, Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Ben Kingsley, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, James Badge Dale, Stephanie Szostack, William Sadler and Ty Simpkins.
Those attending should bring chairs and blankets. Free popcorn will be available.
