Amy Elizabeth Armentrout

Amy Elizabeth Armentrout has been appointed a princess in the 77th Royal Court of Queen Silvia by Board President Cliff Marstiller. She is the daughter of Timothy and Joyce Armentrout of Summersville. She has one sister, Katelyn Armentrout Walkup, and is the granddaughter of William Armentrout of Elkins and John and Donna Hendricks, of Parkersburg.

Princess Armentrout is a graduate of Nicholas County High School with the class of 2012, where she was the Nicholas County Superintendent Scholar and a member of the yearbook staff. She was a two-year soccer player, a Nicholas County Alumni Scholarship winner, a camp counselor at West Virginia Baptist Camp Cowen and attends the Summersville Baptist Church and the Chestnut Ridge Church in Morgantown.

She presently is attending WVU, pursuing a degree in psychology, and is a member of the Psychology Club, a dean's list member 2012-2013 and plans to attend graduate school to work in the forensics field or be a school psychologist. She enjoys horseback riding, and loves football and sports.

The campus of Davis & Elkins College in Elkins will be the setting for the 77th Mountain State Forest Festival and Princess Amy will be joined by the remaining 39 princesses for the Royal Celebration and crowning of Queen Silvia the 77th.
