Joyce E. Kerens, 66, of Edinburg, Pa., passed away at 5:10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 30, 2013, in Sharon Regional Hospital.
Joyce was born Aug. 4, 1947, in Thomas, a daughter of the late Theodore F. and Wilma Jean Baker Johnson.
She married George R. Kerens, in Elkins, on Aug. 31, 1967.
Joyce was a member of Nashua Orthodox Presbyterian Church.
In addition to her husband, George, at home, she is survived by a son, Douglas Kerens; and her daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Anthony Cannaday, all of Edinburg; two grandsons, Matthew Cannaday of Edinburg and Jorgen Kerens of Cleveland; three sisters, Linda Johnson of Bloomington, Ind., and Nancy Wilson and Sharon Miller, both of Columbus, Ohio; and two brothers, Michael and Theodore Johnson of Elkins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant sister, Beverly Johnson.
A memorial service was conducted at 7 p.m. Oct. 4 at Nashua Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Edinberg with the Rev. Steven F. Miller officiating.
