The Light of Christ Chapel located on Crim Avenue in Belington will be have a 35th anniversary celebration on Oct. 20.
The church started in 1978 in Dan's Mart on Rt. 92 and then moved into Flint's Furniture store on Crim Avenue and then into the new sanctuary.
Pastor Jimmie Tallman and the congregation invite the public to come out and join them for a day's celebration. The event will feature the following:
The Light of Chirst Chapel will celebrate it’s 35th anniversary on Oct. 20.
- At 10:30 a.m. Highest Praise, a country gospel band, will perform and then Pastor Jimmie Tallman will be preaching the word from the roof of the Sanctuary, weather permitting.
- At 2 p.m. a fellowship luncheon will be presented, followed by a "human video" entitled "Set Me Free" to be performed by the church's Youth Group at 5 p.m.
- The day's events will wrap up with Nashville recording artist the Shaffer Band. The group was recently featured on a Trinity Broadcast Network program which was aired worldwide.
