The Davis and Elkins swim teams took to the George A. Myles Pool against Alderson Broaddus on Saturday.
D&E claimed the overall win (198-180), with the men taking a 129-76 victory and the women falling 104-69.
The men claimed seven victories out of the 11 events. The 200 medley relay team of Holden Easterbrook, Sam McDaniels, Zayd Othman, and Ty Montemoino opened the day with a first-place finish (1:41.09). The 400 freestyle relay team of Montemoino, McDaniels, Luke Carpenter and Ryan O'Connell finished first with a time of 3:27.37
Xander Garcia swam to the top spot in the 1000 free style (10:39.54). Montemoino registered the first touch in the 50 freestyle (22.04). Othman claimed first place in the 50 fly with a time of 56.13, while Chris Swank won the 100 freestyle (51.52). McDaniels was first in 100 breaststroke (1:01.20)
The women's 200 medley relay team of Autumn Wunderlich, Kayla Huckaby, Chelsea Faris and Brooke Bielecki took top honors with a time of 1:58.52. The 400 freestyle relay team of Wunderlich, Faris, Bielecki and Kendal Williams also was first.
Bielecki claimed the 50 freestyle with a time of 25.28. Wunderlich took the top spot in the 200 individual medley (2:19.47).
The swim teams return to the pool next Saturday at St. Andrews.
