Minnie Sharp

Minnie Marjorie Sharp, 90, of Buckhannon, died Friday, Oct.18, 2013, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Buckhannon.

She was born Nov. 22, 1922, in Swamp Run, a daughter of the late Eddie Earnest and Rachel Oldaker Sothen.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Luther Sharp; one son, Calvin Junior Sharp; five brothers, Harry Louis, Gilbert, Norman and Russell Sothen; and three sisters, Eva Trussler, Delva Chandler and Darlene Fowler.

She is survived by three daughters, Arlene Leoda Stackpole and husband, Wayne, Norma Jean Poling and husband, William, and Mary Ann Sharp, all of Buckhannon; and 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Sharp was a seamstress for Reidbord Brothers. She was a member of the South Buckhannon Mission Church.

Friends were received Sunday, Oct, 20, 2013, at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. today from the funeral home with Pastor Ed Lowther officiating. Burial will follow in the Rock Springs Cemetery in Kesling Mill.
