BUCKHANNON - The Buckhannon Police Department is still investigating a two-vehicle accident that occurred Saturday at the intersection of the WBUC Road and U.S. Route 33.

Two people were injured in the wreck, which happened at about 8:22 p.m.

The collision occurred when Mark Falls, of Sinks Grove, pulled out onto Route 33 from the WBUC Road in front of a 1999 maroon Subaru Legacy being driven by Shirley Cooper of Elkins, Lt. Doug Loudin with the Buckhannon Police Department said Tuesday.

Falls, who was operating a 2004 black Cadillac, was life-flighted to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, and Cooper was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital, Loudin said.

Loudin said Falls has been released from the hospital.

"I spoke to him on the phone yesterday, and he said he was just sore," Loudin said.

Loudin said he had not received any information about Cooper's condition.

No charges have been filed yet in the case, and Sgt. Tom Posey, who responded to the wreck, is still investigating, Loudin said.
