Mrs. Olive J. Fincham Farrar, 71, a resident of Mill Creek, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013, in Hospice Care Regional Inpatient Center.

She was born May 27, 1942, at Mill Creek, a daughter of the late Kermit Quinton Fincham and Flora Wegman Fincham.

On Sept. 24, 1960, at Mill Creek, she was married to Hollis Dwayne Farrar, who survives. She was the love of his life and her children's everything.

Also surviving are one son, Hollis Farrar II and wife, Cathy, of Huttonsville; two daughters, Kelly Arbogast and husband, Jeff, of Dailey and Kendra Arbaugh and husband, David, of Beverly; two brothers, John Fincham and wife, Bessie, of Glen Burnie, Md., and Truman Fincham and wife, Nancy, of Hedgesville; four sisters, Virginia Burky and husband, Vernon, of Mill Creek, Arlene Lanham and husband, William, of Quiet Dell, Sharon Bonnett and husband, Gary, of Rock Cave and Charolette Carr and husband, Rodney, of Fleming, Ohio. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Brittany and Megan Farrar, Olivia Arbogast, Blaine and Trevor Arbaugh.

Also preceding her in death were three sisters, Verna Culbertson, Nancy Mathes and Alma Cave; and two brothers, Gatewood and Paul Fincham.

Mrs. Farrar was a homemaker, an avid quilter and attended Fincham Chapel Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and, according to her grandchildren, was the best gravy maker, cook, back tickler, was always the best at everything and was always there for everyone.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. William "Wink" Lanham officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery at Czar.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice Care Corp., P.O. Box 769, Arthurdale, WV 26520, in memory of Mrs. Farrar. Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Olive J. Fincham Farrar. Condolences may be expressed to the family at
