Members of several Upshur County CEOS Clubs attended the fall conference at Jackson's Mill from Oct. 7-10. Some members participated in different craft classes, while others attended learning classes.
This conference will give members information on conducting their meetings, teaching lessons for 2014, what each officer should know about the office they accept, and it gives members time to associate with other CEOS from all over West Virginia.
The CEOS, or Community Educational Outreach Service, volunteer conference is held each year to update members on how many new members have joined, the organization's financial status and its goals for the next year. CEOS members volunteer their services to their communities each year. If anyone is interested in joining a CEOS club, you can contact our local extension office at 304-473-4208 anytime.
Members attending the fall conference from Upshur County were: Jean Adams and Joyce Freeman of Brushy Fork CEOS; Donna Bennett, Lucy Mullins and Debbie Quick of Modern Homettes CEOS; Cathy DeBarr, Joyce DeBarr and Vonnie Hager of the Teter CEOS.
