Elizabeth Marguerite LaFayette and Chad Edward Thomas were married Aug. 10 at Chanteclaire Farm in Friendsville, Md. Pastor Chuck Wolfinbarger performed the double ring

ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Patrick C. and Evette G. LaFayette of Beverly and the granddaughter of the late Troy Tackett of Mill Creek.

The bridegroom is the son of Charles Thomas of Franklin, Ohio, and Robert and Janet Leahy of Monroe, Ohio. He is the grandson of Julie Kabolski.

The bride wore a hi-low dress with a corset bodice and crystal detailing at the waist. She carried a bouquet of blue thistle, billy balls and succulents. The bridal party wore short, navy, lace overlay dresses with yellow sashes at the waist.

The bridegroom's party wore gray suits with yellow vests and handmade yellow and gray bow ties.

Elizabeth Cordonier, friend of the bride, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Sara Ebel, the bride's sister, of Aberdeen, N.C.; Emily Earl, the bride's sister, of Elkins; Cassie Blair, the bridegroom's sister, of Franklin, Ohio; Brittany Scarberry of Belington; Shannon Moran of Morgantown; Ashley Joseph Smith of Morgantown; and Brittany Furr of Roanoke, Va.

The flower girl was Joselynn Earl, the bride's niece, of Elkins.

The best man was T.J. Garcia of Morgantown. The groomsmen were Max Alvendia of Pittsburgh; Kyle Wycoff of Morgantown; Nate Graham of Stafford, Va.; Mike Stewart of Franklin, Ohio; James Proffitt of Franklin, Ohio; Justin Blevins of Franklin, Ohio; and Dustin Black of Franklin, Ohio.

Spencer Blair, the bridegroom's nephew, of Franklin, Ohio, served as ring bearer.

Wedding music was provided by Mike Stewart, guitar, and Geordie Smith, violin, who played an acoustic version of "Hey Ya" by Outkast during the bridal processional.

The wedding photographer was Tiarra Nixon, owner of Teagan Paige Photography of Fairmont.

The bride is a graduate of Elkins High School and earned a dual Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, in psychology and political science, with a minor in philosophy, from West Virginia University. In May 2013, she earned her Juris Doctorate from the West Virginia University College of Law. She is now employed as a federal law clerk in the Northern District of West Virginia.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Franklin High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts in social work from West Virginia University. He is pursuing a Master of Social Work degree from West Virginia University and currently works for Harmony House in Wheeling and St. Clairsville, Ohio.

After a honeymoon in Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple now resides in Wheeling.
