Clifford Roy Crites, Sr., 72, of Buckhannon, died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, at his home.
He was born Sept. 29, 1941, in Independence, Ohio, a son of the late Hoy and Ruth Killinsworth Crites.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Todd Lowe and wife, Stephanie, of Mocksville, N.C., and Clifford Crites Jr. of Beaumont, Calif.; four grandchildren; one brother, Robert Eugene Crites of Nebraska; three sisters, Bernice Ewanko of Ambridge, Pa., Violet Wasko of Baden, Pa., and Dortha Rexroad and husband, Lynn, of Tallmansville; and one nephew, Alan Crites of Buckhannon.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Albert, Evert and Leroy Crites and Burton Sines.
Mr. Crites attended Buckhannon Union Mission Church in Buckhannon. He was a bus driver in Upshur County for more than 20 years. The family would like to thank his daughter-in-law, Stephanie Lowe, and his nephew, Alan Crites, for taking excellent care of Mr. Crites.
Friends will be received Friday, Nov. 15, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dennis Estes officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Dale Cemetery in Selbyville.
