PHILIPPI - A broken water line led to a boil water advisory being issued for customers in the Anglin Run Subdivision in Philippi on Friday.

Water line repairs are underway, officials said. The boil water advisory will remain in effect until further notice. Customers are advised to first boil water before drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, bathing or preparing food.

The advisory states that there is no expected time as of yet for the completion of repairs. For more information, contact William Knight at 304-677-1346 or get safe water drinking teams from the Environmental Protection Agency Safe Drinking Water Hotline at 1-800-426-4791.
