The Randolph County Sheriff's Office is looking for a suspect involved in a robbery of the Mountaineer Mart in Norton on Sunday night.

The robbery occurred around 11:45 p.m. when the clerk saw a male subject striking the front glass of the store with a crowbar, police said. When he realized it was unlocked, the suspect walked in, went behind the counter and grabbed 19 cartons of cigarettes, which he placed in a bag and left the store, according to the Sheriff's Office.

The clerk was present for the entire ordeal and called the authorities afterward, police said.

The suspect is a 6-foot-tall male who was wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and tan workboots and had a dark garment covering his face.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Randolph County Sheriff's Office at 304-636-TIPS.
