The Inter-Mountain

Dan Frechette and Laurel Thomsen, fresh from recording a new CD with Michael and Carrie Kline, will present a public concert at the Klines home, 114 Boundary Ave., Elkins, today.

The public is invited to arrive at 7 p.m., and the concert is set to begin at 7:30 p.m. Suggested donations are $10 for adults and $5 for students. Children younger than 18 are free.

In the spring of 2012, music and modern technology brought the two artists together.

Dan Frechette and Laurel Thomsen will perform at Michael and Carrie Kline’s residence today.

Frechette, a Canadian entertainer, master impressionist, acoustic guitarist, and composer of 1,500 songs, came across California's Laurel Thomsen, world class violinist, composer, and educator, on YouTube.

They eventually developed a powerful friendship and an old soul folk sound.

In March 2013, they met in person, and less than 24 hours later, they performed the first concert of a 16-concert tour.

They have been winning over audiences throughout the United States and Canada with their style, diversity and musical chemistry. Audiences enjoy their heartwarming harmonies, emotive violin, and spirited guitar, while literate, poetic lyrics capture stories of irony, triumph, wit, and humor.
