DAVIS - The tubing park at Canaan Valley Resort attracts all ages to enjoy winter recreation. The 1,200-foot, eight lane recreational area is open daily and offers special night tubing through Dec. 31 for holiday recreation. Special evening tubing sessions are from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tubing sessions are two hours long. There are three two-hour sessions daily: 9 to 11 a.m., 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 2 to 4 p.m. Tubing is a family friendly, any-age activity; however, individuals must be 4 years old or older and 42 inches in height or taller.
The recent opening of the new 160 room lodge, plus renovations at the ski area, including the beginners ski school area, complete with Magic Carpet lift, create additional winter recreational interest.
