Marglean N. Mathes Ware, 84, a resident of Elkins, passed from this life Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013, in Elkins Rehabilitation and Center in Elkins.
Marglean was born Wednesday, Dec., 25, 1929 in Webster County, a daughter of the late Clarence Mathes and Dora E. Barker Mathes.
Left to cherish Marglean's memory are her two daughters, Patricia Lindsay and husband, Willie, of Beverly and Carolyn Martin and husband, Denzil, of Mill Creek; her one son, Ronnie Channell of Valley Head; and 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Marglean was the last surviving member of her immediate family having been preceded in death by two brothers, Gerald and Arnold Mathes; two sisters, Margaret Ware and Juanita Boggess; a grandson, Charles; a granddaughter, Jennifer; and a great-granddaughter, Chelsea.
Marglean attended the schools of Webster County and was a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidery and flower and vegetable gardening. She was a Christian by faith.
Visitation will be conducted at the Randolph Funeral Home Sunday, Dec. 29, from noon until 2 p.m., the funeral hour. The Rev. Shane Whitacre will officiate, and interment will follow in Valley Head Cemetery in Valley Head.
