Amanda Dawn Channell, 34, a resident of Valley Head, passed from this life Monday, Dec. 23, 2013, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Amanda was born Wednesday, Feb. 14, 1979, in Elkins, a daughter of Gerald M. Channell and Rhonda Kay Beale Channell, who survive in Valley Head.
Also left to cherish Amanda's memory are one daughter, Izabella Faith Arbogast; one sister, Molly Cabaniss and husband, Chris, of Valley Head; three brothers, Mitchell Channell and wife, Vanessa, of Dailey, Daniel Channell and wife, Sarah, of Sterling, Va., and Nathan Channell of Norfolk, Va.; four nieces, Abigail and Hannah Cabaniss, and Carly and Jane Channell; and four nephews, Wade Cabaniss, Connor Channell and Casey and Shane Martel.
Amanda attended Valley Head Elementary and graduated from Tygarts Valley High School with the class of 1997. She was a hard worker and had been employed at various locations. Amanda enjoyed outdoor activities including four wheeling and working in her flower garden. She especially loved playing with her daughter, Izabella, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Amanda's life will be held where friends may gather at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at which time a memorial service will be held.
