Wilma Marsh

Wilma Jean (Moore) Marsh, 86, left her earthly home in Philippi surrounded by her family, Hospice nurses Mary and Lisa and Pastor Bryan Headley to enter Heaven's gates Tuesday Dec. 31, 2013.

She was born Nov. 22, 1927, in Moatsville, a daughter of the late Andrew Kade "Peanut" and Beulah Blanche (Sinsel) Moore.

She was united in marriage Jan. 31, 1946, to Joe Marsh who preceded her in death on March 11, 2002.

Surviving are seven daughters, Bo Bennett and husband, Karl, of Philippi, Mescal Laulis and husband, Kenneth, of Belington, Dolly Isner and husband, Mike, of Philippi, Rita Jones and husband, Guy, of Waynesburg Susan Jones and husband, Steve, of Buckhannon and Judy Marsh and JoAnn Marsh, both of Philippi; six sons, Kenneth Marsh and wife, Judy, of Belington Keith Marsh and wife, Charlotte, of Philippi, Butch Marsh and wife, Sandy, of Philippi, Tommy Marsh and wife, Kim, of Philippi, Ethan Allen Marsh and wife, Cathy, of Moatsville and Ray Marsh and wife, Sheila, of Philippi; one sister-in-law, Delores Moore of Leesburg, Va.; two brothers, Robert Moore and wife, Carol, of Norfolk, Va., and Andrew "Bud" Moore of Grafton; two brothers-in-law, George Hamrick of Columbus, Ohio, and Paul Glass of Grafton; 36 grandchildren, 43 great- grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren

Mrs. Marsh was preceded in death by two sisters, June Hamrick and Mary Jane Glass; one brother, Jefferson Ray Moore; daughter-in-law, Linda K Marsh; and three grandchildren, Lilianna Morse, Jack Laulis and Jessica Foy

She was a homemaker and attended Silent Grove Church.

Mrs. Marsh enjoyed gardening, canning, quilting and sewing. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Marsh will be greatly missed by her little caregivers: Keaton, Kinsley, Cole, Alexa Mae, Macie, Maddox and Willow.

Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi from 4 to 8 p.m. today and on Friday, Jan. 3, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., the service hour with Pastor Bryan Headley officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Mountain Hospice 1600 Crim Ave. Belington, WV 26250
