Richard A. Logue Sr., 87, of Mabie, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013, at his home.
He was born Feb. 13, 1926, in Warren, Ohio, a son of the late John A. and Mary H. Beardsley Logue.
He was a supervisor with Packard Electric Division of GM for 37 years, retiring July 31, 1986. Richard was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a member of the Royal Arcanum, Grace United Methodist Church and former member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. He enjoyed traveling, collecting trucks, trains and loved shopping.
Memories of Richard will be carried on by his wife, Levan Kay Nethken Logue of Mabie, who he married Dec. 12, 2009; daughter, Diane M. Calain of Lordstown, Ohio; son, Richard A. (Mary Ann) Logue Jr. of Niles, Ohio; stepdaughters, Robin (Michael) Richards of Shinnston, Rebecca Channell of Mabie, Rosemary (Donald) Minton, Beverly (Les) Pearce, Deborah (Jay) Whitmore, Vicki (James) Farmer and Joyce (David) Brown; granddaughters, Dawn (Barry) Logue Baer, Ruth M. (Brent) Rupuik and Bobbi Jo (Randy) Killing; grandson, Alan R. Logue; four great-grandchildren; and numerous stepgrandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Henrietta M. Logue, who passed away Aug. 17, 1982; second wife, Jessie N. Logue, who passed away January of 2009; grandson, Andrew K. Calain; son-in-law, Edwin K. Calain; sister, Mary Louise Logue; and brother, William E. Logue.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, where the Rev. Dee Emmert will officiate. Family and friends are kindly invited to visit from 5 to 7 p.m. today and one hour prior to the funeral service at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home. Richard will be laid to rest in Crown Hill Burial Park, Vienna, Ohio, where military honors will be observed.
