BUCKHANNON - When Buffalo Wild Wings opens its doors Monday in Buckhannon, the first 100 customers will be rewarded with free wings for a year.
The restaurant's marketing director, Taylor Bigley, said that Buffalo Wild Wings is giving the wings away because the company believes its customers deserve no less.
"As a thank you for welcoming us to Buckhannon, we want to thank our guests with our amazing wings," Bigley said. "Plus, it will take you 21 orders of wings to try all of our signature sauces, so we're here to get you started."
The grand opening of the new restaurant will take place at 11 a.m. on Monday. Operating hours will be from 11 a.m. to midnight on Sunday-Thursday, and from 11-1 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
"We expect to experience what Buffalo Wild Wings specializes in: big crowds and high energy," Bigley said of the opening day. "In speaking with community leaders and local businesses, Buckhannon and surrounding communities are anticipating our opening as much as we are. We are very thrilled to get to know our guests."
However, opening day is not the restaurant's first official welcoming ceremony. At 5 p.m. on Saturday, there will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the restaurant's location on North Ridge Drive next to the Microtel Inn and Suites and close to Lowe's in Buckhannon.
As a national chain made up of 1,000 locations and growing, Buffalo Wild Wings has expanded its franchises in West Virginia and Ohio. Including Buckhannon, the chain has seven in West Virginia.
"Buffalo Wild Wings is growing quickly and any time we can bring our unique experience to a new community, we are excited," Bigley said.
More than just a place to dine out, Bigley said that Buffalo Wild Wings is committed to involvement with its local community and to providing "that Buffalo Wild Wings energy to schools and local events."
"This community is amazing," she added. "Again, the schools and local businesses have welcomed us with open arms. Buckhannon has an extended family of sports fans. They support their little leagues, middle schools and high schools. I have also already met so many die-hard fans of college and professional sports.
"Where do they go to celebrate their victories? Where do they hang out to watch football on Sundays and UFC fights on Saturdays? Buffalo Wild Wings provides the perfect place to celebrate, relax and have some fun. It being in Buckhannon is a great fit for both us and this community."
With a menu that includes several sauces to give each order of wings a unique flair, Buffalo Wild Wings creates a one-of-a-kind atmosphere, Bigley said.
"There is nothing like the Buffalo Wild Wings experience," Bigley continued. "We offer the ultimate sports fan experience by providing over 45 flat screen TVs, 21 signature sauces and seasonings and a full menu including our one-of-a-kind mouth-watering wings."
