Joyce Booth

Mrs. Joyce Katherine (Bibey) Booth, 70, a resident of Turkey Run, Buckhannon, departed this life Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 11, 2014, in St. Joseph Hospital emergency department. She had been in her usual health, and death was sudden and unexpected.

She was born Sept. 18, 1943, at Akron, Ohio, a daughter of the late Frederick D. Bibey and Zona (Ware) Bibey, who passed away when Joyce was very young. Her father remarried Betty L. Bibey, who raised Joyce and became the only mother she knew and survives in Florida.

On Sept. 19, 1961, at Coldwater, Mich., she was united in marriage to Kenneth Elwood "Woody" Booth, who survives at their home.

She is survived by one son, Shawn Booth and wife, Gina, of Austintown, Ohio; two daughters, Kim Suder and husband, Larry, of Belington and Sonya Stalker and husband, William, of Tallmadge, Ohio; two brothers, Phil Bibey of Hartville, Ohio, and Bradley Bibey and wife, Penny, of Ventura, Calif.; two sisters, Janet Stephens and husband, Jim, of Hartville, Ohio, and Lisa Mohler and husband, Jeff, of Parrish, Fla.; six grandchildren, Karen Stalker, Naomi Zastawniak and husband, Michael, Renee Stalker, Butch Hoppe, Hannah Saffle and husband, Timothy, and Seth Booth; and three great-grandchildren, Conner and Paisley Zastawniak and Holden Stalker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Lowell

Shaffer.

Mrs. Booth attended the Stringtown grade school in Belington and the schools of Akron, Ohio. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church near Buckhannon, was a member of the Upshur County Community Educational Outreach Society and was a homemaker most of her adult life.

Friends will be received at Talbott Funeral Home in Belington from 6-9 p.m. today. On Saturday, Feb. 15, Mrs. Booth will be moved to Liberty Baptist Church near Buckhannon where friends may call from 10-11 a.m., the funeral hour when final rites will be conducted with the Rev. John Hinkle officiating. Interment will follow in Stringtown Cemetery in Belington.
