Brenda Ann Beale Tingler, 70, a resident of Elkins, departed this life Thursday evening, March 27, 2014, in Davis Medical Center at Elkins. She had been in declining health.
She was born Wednesday, March 8, 1944, at Mingo, a daughter of the late Rean Newlon and Della Mae Brady Beale.
On May 6, 1967, at Mill Creek, she was married to Verledo Frederick Tingler, who preceded her in death April 13, 2003.
Surviving are one son, Gregory Rean Tingler and Jackie of Elkins; one daughter, Kimberly Ann Hise of Chester, Va.; one stepson, Douglas "Brent" Tingler of Elkins; one stepdaughter, Sharon L. Honeycutt and husband, Butch, of Sykesville, Md.; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a special loving caretaker, Kim Maxson.
She was a graduate of Tygarts Valley High School with the class of 1962. She, along with her husband, owned and operated Tingler Sewing Machine and Vacuum Repair. She enjoyed the outdoors, flowers, games and was devoted to raising her children. She greatly enjoyed her dog Alley, a Great Pyrenees.
The family will receive friends at Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 5-7 p.m. Monday. At 7 p.m., Monday, a celebration of life will be conducted. Pastor Jim Sims will officiate, and Mrs. Tingler's request for cremation will then be honored.
