Spring is in the air and the Easter Bunny is on the way to downtown Elkins for a special breakfast event hosted by Elkins ON TRAC.
The second annual Pancake Breakfast with the Easter Bunny will be held Saturday at CJ Maggie's. ON TRAC volunteers will serve pancakes and sausage links with orange juice, coffee or tea at the restaurant located at 309 Davis Avenue from 8 to 10 a.m.
A member of ON TRAC's Organization Committee, Jeff Barger, is looking forward to the Pancake Breakfast.
"This event is a lot of fun, not just for the kids but also for parents, grandparents and volunteers, too," said Barger. "We enjoy seeing and serving friends and families."
Pancakes are a great breakfast treat for youngsters, but the Easter Bunny makes it even more special, Barger said.
The Easter Bunny will welcome children of all ages and pose for photos with youngsters.
Those who want photos must bring their own cameras.
ON TRAC will not provide a photographer.
There will no charge
take photos with the Easter Bunny, but donations to the
organization will be welcomed.
A limited number of Easter-themed door prizes will be available for children aged 12 and younger. Prizes will be distributed to youngsters on a first-come-first-served basis while supplies last.
Advance tickets for the Pancake Breakfast with the Easter Bunny are available at Davis Trust Company or from ON TRAC board and committee members. Priced at $5 per person, tickets may also be purchased at the door.
The Pancake Breakfast with the Easter Bunny is sponsored by CJ Maggie's. All proceeds will benefit Elkins ON TRAC and support the organization's work to revitalize downtown Elkins.
The Organization Committee plans fundraising activities and events to help support this work. New members are welcome to join ON TRAC committees, which also include Design, Economic Restructuring and Promotion. Volunteers serving on these committee work together to improve downtown Elkins for the entire community.
