ELKINS - On May 3, Elkins Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram will partner with parents and teachers for a Drive for the Kids fundraiser to help raise money in support of the PTO at the school's Patriot Jubilee School
Between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. at Jennings Randolph Elementary, 101 Scott Ford Road parents and guests will have the opportunity to earn a $10 contribution for the school from the Chrysler brand, by taking a test drive in the award-winning 2014 Chrysler Town & Country minivan, the highest ranked in loyalty 11 years in a row.
Any licensed driver, age 18 or older, may drive and earn the donation. Elkins Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram will provide 2014 model Chrysler brand vehicles along with volunteers from the dealership to help with the test drives and answer questions.
"The Drive for the Kids program offers our school a unique way to reach our fundraising goals without having to ask our families to reach into their own pockets," said Michelle Ludwig, PTO vice president. "Parents and friends can help us make a difference by donating their time for a test drive. In return, Chrysler brand will donate $10. It's that easy. We are pleased to be able to have this opportunity from the Chrysler brand and Elkins Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram."
The 2014 Drive for the Kids Most Drives Contest gives the school the chance to drive up their donation from Chrysler. At the conclusion of the 2014 calendar year, the program will award an additional $5,000 to the school that posts the highest number of test drives in each of five designated geographic regions, for a total of $25,000 in additional funding from Chrysler through the Drive for the Kids
In 1993, Chrysler introduced Drive for the Kids and became the first automotive manufacturer to reach out in direct support of local schools. For more than 20 years, Chrysler dealers have worked with parents and educators across the nation to contribute more than $5 million to schools and education.
