ELKINS - The Davis & Elkins College Concert Choir wraps up its performance season with its annual Spring Concert at 6:30 p.m. today in Robbins Memorial Chapel.
The uplifting performance, featuring traditional and contemporary selections, is free and open to the public.
The choir is under the direction of Liz Marshall-MacVean and will be accompanied by Davis & Elkins Instructor of Music Donna Baroudi-Huffman.
"The students in our choir come from all different states and have various courses of study, and we come together to create one common sound in our music," Marshall-MacVean says.
Selections the choir will perform are: "Heart for the Nations," "Here's One ," "In Christ Alone," "Beautiful City" from Godspell, "Amazing Grace," "Embraceable You," "Draw the Circle Wide" and "Let There Be Peace."
The 30-member student choir is comprised of Jacob Antoline, a freshman from Elkins; Riley Bennett, a freshman from Round Hill, Va.; Bradley Carter, a junior from Lovingston, Va.; Elizabeth Chaar, a junior from Charleston; Sara Davenport, a sophomore from Spencer; Cassidy Dickens, a junior from Sutton; Amanda Eriksen, a senior from Lititz, Pa.; Endi Frazier, a senior from Williamsburg, Va.; Christian Gorrell, a junior from Belington; Katelynn Hanek, a sophomore from McHenry, Md.; Kaylee Harris, a sophomore from Drewryville, Va.; Marina Hill, a senior from Bridgeport; Meredith Hill, a senior from Bridgeport; Scott Leach, a sophomore from Centralia, Wash.; Pate Mannon, a senior from Huntington; Sarah Marshall, a sophomore from Covington, Va.; Ty-Chon Montemoino, a freshman from Carrollton, Ga.; Elizabeth Morrison, a junior from Falls Church, Va.; Kelcie Mullins, a sophomore from Saint Albans; Millie Omps, a senior from Paw Paw; Sarah Planakis, a sophomore from Fredericksburg, Va.; Sabrina Poessl, a freshman from Fuerth, Germany; Taylor Prince, a junior from Fraziers Bottom; Emily Richards, a freshman from Elkins; Thomas Robbins, a freshman from Culpeper, Va.; Sarah Satterwhite, a senior from Farmington; Ashley Stitely, a senior from Philippi; Hunter Tanner, a freshman from Mill Creek; Ashlen Wilson, a senior from Elkins; Heather Wilson, a senior from Elkins; and Elena Zanella, a freshman from Culpeper, Va.
"We have had a great year and the entire choir looks forward to sharing their music," Marshall-MacVean says.
The choir performed for several area church services during the spring semester and will perform during commencement weekend.
