Garrett Lynn "Butch" Sisler Sr., 67, of Bartow passed away Saturday, June 7, 2014, of a sudden illness.
Butch was born Nov. 22, 1946, in Cranesville to the late Hampster Darwin and Madeline Matheney Sisler.
Butch was a foreman with Interstate Hardwood in Bartow, a member of the VFW, a Moose Lodge member, a Vietnam Air Force Veteran and was of the Methodist Faith. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, he loved to work on his land and loved the outdoors.
Other than his parents, Butch was preceded in death by his sisters, Marylin Frazee, Rowena Heath and Helen Sisler.
Survivors include his wife, Zella Virginia Friend Sisler; daughter, Sheila Kay Sharp and husband, Alan, of Eglon; sons, Garrett Lynn "Butchie" Sisler Jr. and wife, Crystal, of Durbin and Brad Darwin Sisler and companion Katie of Durbin; grandchildren, Amy, Ashley, Adam, Chasity, Alex, Amber, Makayala, Gracie and Zachar; great-grandchildren, Brionna, Natalie, David, Bryson, Kaylee, Issac, Nevaeh, Jaydan and Colton; and numerous other friends.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on on Friday, June 13, 2014, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Arbovale. There will be a 3 p.m. graveside service with military honors at the Miller Cemetery at Cranesville with Pastor David Rittenhouse officiating.
Friends may call on Thursday, June 12, 2014, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Arbovale.
