The Randolph Country Senior Center kicked off its ‘25 Days of Christmas in July’ Monday, when Richard Harvey, president of Mountain Valley Bank, drew the winning number for the first of 25 daily prize packages to be given away during the month. Jim Cain was the winner of Monday’s package, which included a Senior Center bingo packet, two Christopher Radko Christmas ornaments from Third Street Trading Co, a box of six Buzz Buttereed Steaks from Buzz Foods and $350 cash provided by Mountain Valley Bank. Each daily package winner’s ticket goes back into the drum for a chance to win again during the month. The prize packages vary in value from $323 to $928 and include such items as an oak Adirondak chair and side table, a toaster oven, pizzas, original artwork, and one week condo rental at Land of Canaan Vacation Rentals. Tickets are still available at the information desk at the Senior Center at the corner of Railroad Ave. and 5th St. The proceeds from the raffle will be used to benefit the programs, services and activities provided for seniors throughout
Randolph County.
