Auto Accident

July 19, 2014
Inter-Mountain
Three people were injured in a two-vehicle accident on U.S. Route 33 at the Crystal Springs exit at about noon Friday, officials said. The Elkins Fire Department reported one person was transported by helicopter for medical treatment. The accident is being investigated by the West Virginia State Police. Social media websites were busy with comments both pro and con Friday regarding the safety of the intersection since the installation of new traffic control lights earlier this year. Units from the Randolph County EMS and the Belington EMS also responded to the accident. No further details were available at press time. (The Inter-Mountain photo by Lynn Setler)
