Darlene Kay (White) Willis, 56, passed away on July 26, 2014, in Hospice of the Panhandle, in Kearneysville, surrounded by family and friends.
She was born Oct. 31, 1957, in Cherry Grove.
She was the daughter of the late Berlin and Clara (Arbogast) White.
She was a member of Big Run Presbyterian Church. She attended Circleville High School and later got her GED. She was employed by Jefferson County Schools as a dietician. She loved to cook, bake and share her goodies with family and friends.
Darlene is survived by her husband of 24 years, Mark Willis; three sons, Jon Armentrout and wife, Amanda, of Sebring, Fla., Jeff Armentrout and wife, Lisa, of Martinsburg and Mark Willis Jr. and wife. Kelly. of New Market, Md.; four grandchildren, Chantal, Ethan, Alyssa and Cohen; four sisters, Margaret R. Wimer of Franklin, Shirley Bennett and husband, Allen, of Cherry Grove, Martha Gilley of New Market, Va., and Alice Losh and husband, Jerry, of Staunton, Va.; two brothers, Thomas White and wife, Diane, of Cherry Grove and Roger White and wife, Helen, of Arbovale.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Berlin and Clara (Arbogast) White; two sisters, Donna Colaw and Leona Peck; two brothers, Charles White and Paul Jr. White. Also preceding her in death were her grandparents, Archie and Suttie Arbogast and Jackson and Mary Jane White.
A memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, at Melvin T. Strider at Colonial Funeral Home, Ranson with Doug White officiating. Interment will be private
