Snowshoe Foundation Funds Walking Track

August 5, 2014
Inter-Mountain
Nick Alfred, Elkins Middle School physical education instructor, and Voras Haynes, Snowshoe Foundation vice president, view the new walking track at EMS. The track around the perimeter of the football field was built with funding provided by the Snowshoe Foundation. “This will be great for the school and the community,” Haynes said. “It offers opportunities for all of our teams,” Alfred said. The Snowshoe Foundation’s mission is to enhance the surrounding communities’ quality of life through charitable contributions. Their next major fundraiser, Treasure on the Mountain, will be Saturday. Cash and prizes valued at over $250,000 will be raffled off. Further details and a complete prize list are available at www.snowshoefoundation.org. (The Inter-Mountain photo by Lynn Setler)
