We don't need gun control... We need Government Control. The left is completely out of control, ignoring their own laws. So why wouldn't you think these crooks would want us to lose our right to own a gun? Then these clowns can really 'control' us.

This is not about gun control or violence. There's more children/people drowned in swimming pools than is killed by guns; it's about govt crooks controlling the people! WE WILL NOT TOLERATE IT!!!

Could not agree more! Gun control is about People control. The Democrats want to control We, The People. What is it going to take to make people wake up and see this?! The Democrats are doing Exactly what Adolph Hitler did in Germany and we all know how That turned out!! No, NO MORE USELESS GUN CONTROL! I agree with the previous poster-what we Really need is GOVERNMENT CONTROL! The government works for US, we do not work for IT!! Sic Semper Tyrannis!

More people drowning than the 30 per day who die from guns? Sounds like you are one of the dangerous mentally ill who own 30 or 40 semiautomatic weapons! And the other brainiac is hung up on Hitler!

It's truly sad that people like hadenough can't read, interpret, comprehend or access the GOVERNMENT's OWN WEBSITE; the CDC that is Center for Disease Control for Dummies. Look it up. Or don't.

Obviously hadenough has NO idea what he/she/it has had enough of. Would you like to specify? Or are you just another troll repeating the same 'old crap from the marxist in DC? Poor babies can't handle opposing opinions, being of the child-like mentality that they are. Poor babies must be continuously 'spoon-fed' or bottle-fed the extremist liberal marxist kool-aid daily. It shows. You cannot even specifically comment on anything intelligent; just one liner marxist quotes. Bwahaha. Thanks for the humor. But your remark is so laughable, intolerant, stupid that no one cares.

NOW, the liberal idiotic National Organization for Women...or something, recently held a little conservative women hating party showing they don't 'really' care about women; just liberalism. Guess what material and books were available to read? The Communist Manifesto and other Marxist/Communist material and books. Who would have guessed that liberal marxist women from the left would love Mao/Hitler/Stalin??? And they wonder why the left are losing elections.

We WILL throw them out. ALL of them. Americans always do. God bless the USA and REAL Americans!

Doesn't take much to hurt a liberals' feelings. Just get a job, be independent, don't ask govt for handouts/welfare, don't go in debt to liberal bankers and grow your own food; be self-sustaining. Libs can't stand those who don't need them or their handouts. WIthout welfare/poor dems couldn't get re-elected. That is why they must make sure you stay poor and needy all your life.

First of all, I want to express my condolences to all the victims and families of this senseless and absolutely deplorable violence, everyone's conscience should be in shock, regardless of political affiliation. Don't get me wrong. I understand why there's a revived debate taking place. When there is a serious problem, the natural tendency is to do something! Anything! Just fix it. We like action. The problem is that for most people, the efficacy of the action is of little importance, so long as one cares enough to take some action. Even if the action has unintended negative consequences, stasis is rarely rewarded.

Tell your elected officials to STOP vilifying law-abiding gun owners and punishing them for crimes committed by criminals! We may have a legislative system designed for gridlock, but our human urge is for decisive action. The notion that we should tolerate the horrible atrocities committed by gun violence seems unconscionable. Whether true or not, we convince ourselves that we have some control over the future. And as with gun control the person who deserves the blame is often dead and we must assign new blame. Guns are, forgive the pun, the obvious target.

Unfortunately, the gun control advocates are at it again, arguing that if Federal and State gun control laws were just a little stricter, these tragedies would have been avoided. This couldn't be farther from the truth! The media machines and gun control organizations rapidly gear up using tragedy to push for more unconstitutional laws. We must push back! We must protect the Second Amendment from these treasonous attacks! And we must ensure that law abiding citizens are not blamed and punished for the crimes of deranged individuals!

Americans will never allow stupid little politicians to take our guns---NEVER! Bigger men than these present liberals have tried and FAILED...history has shown that the PEOPLE always fight back...and win! Elections are for ridding our nation of such parasites! And it works or the dems wouldn't be having such a time running/hiding and avoiding the issues now that November is right around the corner and they see all their little socialist buddies losing their positions in congress over their insane ideologies!!

Ha! Libs silent on the crime rate 'decreasing' in crime-ridden Chicago AFTER judge scolds liberal officials for passing UNconstitutional gun ban laws. Now that citizens and not just criminals can have a weapon, more lives are saved and less criminals are running the city; (well, they still have the 'criminals' in the local govt). Crime rate DOWN thanks to permits to carry in the city now.

Why do Democrats WANT criminals to only have weapons??

Why do democrats like high crime rates?

Why don't democrats care about innocent law-"abiding" citizens like they care about criminals??

Soooooooooo.....the general consensus here is that nothing needs to be done about firearm laws in this country. I also love all the posts on these polls directed at politicians, like they're reading these....****. There are also a lot of "we" and "us" mentioned. Speak for yourself, lemming.

The whole point of discussing failures of government with peers is to motivate education and healthy debate to possibly gather voter momentum to actually make a difference; your own vote is meaningless but if you are in a movement that has a voter influence force multiplier, that's how you can make real change.

Can’t we complain about government just a little bit? Optimism is great but if we can’t discuss how our government is probably making some mistakes, then there is considerably less pressure nor as much initiative and education about how to keep making our civic systems better.

Criminals don't care about laws, making sure that law-abiding citizens can be armed is a sure way to protect them. After all, many historic gun massacres were perpetuated on disarmed citizens, often by governments.

What we need is more lenient gun laws, such as Stand Your Ground (SYG) or Castle Laws, being encouraged by everyone.

“This year will go down in history. For the first time, a civilized nation has full gun registration. Our streets will be safer, our police more efficient, and the world will follow our lead into the future!” This is the Utopian vision of gun control, but the only hitch is this. Adolph Hitler was quoted saying this, and who exactly were the streets of Germany safer for? The Gestapo? Hitler's SS? The Brown Shirts? They certainly weren't safer for the German people, or the Jewish people, and let's not forget the homosexuals, blacks, mentally handicapped and physically handicapped Hitler had rounded up and executed.

Only a fool would think a disarmed people could be safer than armed citizens. It's a dream the tyrants in government would like to see come true. It will never happen in America because the people won't allow it, even if it means civil war. Never!
