Elizabeth Lodoska Zirkle

Christian Elizabeth Anderson

Christian Elizabeth Anderson was appointed by West Virginia Sen. Herb Snyder. She is the daughter of Robert and Gigi Anderson of Kearneysville. She is the granddaughter of Robert P. and Juanita Anderson of Kearneysville and John and Geneva Simpson of Salisbury, Maryland. Anderson has two brothers and three sisters, Jaime Taylor, Julia Stout, Aaron Anderson, Emily Anderson and Logan Anderson.

While at Jefferson High School, she was a member of Jefferson FFA Chapter and a member of the Leetown Crossroads 4-H Club.

Erin Rose Bradley

Erin Rose Bradley was appointed by West Virginia Sen. Bob Williams. She is the daughter of Dwight and Brenda Bradley of Thornton. She is the granddaughter of the late Charles R. Exline Sr. and Helen Kraft of Thornton and Wesley J. Bradley and the late Mary Bradley of Thornton. Bradley has one sister, Amber Bradley.

Savannah Carol Waybright

She is a 2015 graduate of Grafton High School, where she was a four-year member of the Youth Leadership Association and Health Science and Technology Academy. She served on student council as co-student body president her senior year and was a member of the GHS marching and concert bands, an AP Scholar, honor graduate, and a 10-year 4-H member. In the fall, she will be a sophomore at West Virginia University, where she is double majoring in child development and family studies and public health.

Madison Blake Canales

Madison Blake Canales was appointed by West Virginia Sen. Robert Karnes. She is the daughter of Erin Poe of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, and formerly of Elkins, and Christopher Canales of Frederick, Maryland. She is the granddaughter of Terry and Rebecca Poe of Belington and Charles Canales of Frederick, Maryland, and Judith Canales of Elkins. Canales has one sister, Allison Canales.

She is a 2015 graduate of Cumberland Valley High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society. In the fall, she will be a sophomore at West Virginia University, where she is majoring international studies and geography and Chinese. She also is a member of the Honors College.

Clarissa Katherine Carnell

Jennifer Marie Walker

Clarissa Katherine Carnell was appointed by West Virginia Sen. Craig Blair. She is the daughter of Todd and Linda Carnell of Keyser. She is the granddaughter of Philip and Mary Agnes Carnell of New Creek and Irene Okel and the late Thomas Okel of Benwood.

She is a 2015 graduate of Keyser High School, where she participated and lettered in track, cross country and soccer. She was named captain of her track and cross country teams and was a state champion in track. She also was in 4-H for 10 years and received her Chaiting and All-Star pin. In addition, she was a member of the Math Honorary and a scholarship recipient. In the fall, she will be a sophomore at Potomac State College of West Virginia University, where she is majoring in pre-physical therapy.

Eliza Ann Cook

Eliza Ann Cook was appointed by West Virginia Sen. Greg Boso. She is the daughter of Scottie and Tamela Cook of Elkins. She is the granddaughter of Shelva Starkey of Elkins and Gene Cook of Elkins. Cook has one brother, Jarrett Cook.

She is a 2015 graduate of Elkins High School, where she was a member of the cross country team, varsity cheerleader, an honor-roll student, homecoming princess and a National ATV racer.

Hannah Margaret Toney

In the fall, she will be a sophomore at West Virginia University, where she is majoring in nursing.

MacKenzie Layne Deem

MacKenzie Layne Deem was appointed by West Virginia Sen. Jeffrey V. Kessler. She is the daughter of Rob and Stephanie Deem of Harrisville and Teri Roberts of Parkersburg. She is the granddaughter of Doyle and Janice Deem of Harrisville and Jackie and the late Randy Lynch of Williamstown. Deem has two brothers, Ryder Deem and Chancey Roberts, and one sister, Brooklynn Deem.

She is a 2016 graduate of Williamstown High School, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude, was senior class president, vice president of FBLA, a National Honors Society member and member and president of Harrisville Happy Days 4-H Club. In the fall, she will be a freshman at West Virginia University, where she plans to major in elementary education.

Sommer Marie Dilly

Layla Rae Teter

Sommer Marie Dilly was appointed by West Virginia Commissioner of Agriculture Walt Helmick. She is the daughter of Shawn and Cyndee Dilly of Elkins. She is the granddaughter of Mary Lou Irwin and the late Fred Irwin of Elkins and Frank and Pat Dilly of Parsons. Dilly has two brothers, Dylan and Levi.

She is a 2015 graduate of Elkins High School, where she was in the Top 10 percent of her class, a member of the National Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society, a completer in the Health Science program in the Randolph County Technical Center, a varsity cheerleader, track runner, Young Life participant, student council representative and a Center Stage dancer. In the fall, she will be a sophomore at the University of Charleston, where she is a sister of Theta Kappa Pi, a Young Life leader and a member of the Golden Eagle cheerleading squad. Sommer is majoring in biology/pre med with a minor in applied leadership.

Abby Jean Fincham

Abby Jean Fincham was appointed by Mountain State Forest Festival Director Scott Goddard. She is the daughter of James and Genna Fincham of Elkins. She is the granddaughter of James and Janet Fincham of Youngstown, Ohio. Fincham has one brother, Jimmy, and two sisters, Amanda and twin sister Amy.

She is a 2016 graduate of Elkins High School, where she was an honor-roll student, a four-year member of the softball team, two-year varsity letterman in softball, two-year varsity swimmer and a member of 4-H. In the fall, she will be a freshman at Davis & Elkins College, where she plans to major in special education and play softball.

Amy Elaine Fincham was appointed by Mountain State Forest Festival Board President Scott Harris. She is the daughter of James and Genna Fincham of Elkins. She is the granddaughter of James and Janet Fincham of Youngstown, Ohio. Fincham has one brother, Jimmy, and two sisters, Amanda and twin sister Abby.

Casey Rebekah Franklin

Casey Rebekah Franklin was appointed by West Virginia Sen. Jack Yost. She is the daughter of John and April Boring of Valley Grove. She is the granddaughter of Cheryl Dale of Spruce Pine, North Carolina, and Jack and Pauline Boring of Wheeling.  Franklin has one sister, Rachel Boring.

She is a 2015 graduate of Wheeling Park High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society, Wheeling Park High School’s drumline and 4-H Club president. In the fall, she will be a sophomore at West Virginia University, where she is majoring in agriculture and extension education.

Abigale Lane Gooden

Abigale Lane Gooden was appointed by Mountain State Forest Festival Director Scott Goddard. She is the daughter of Ron and Tracy Gooden of Elkins. She is the granddaughter of Howard and Susie Gooden of Beckley, Bob McCoy of Elkins, Ronnie and Billie Bonnett of Elkins and the late Linda Glover and the late Donna Cottrell.

She is a 2016 graduate of Elkins High School, where she was a member of the National Technical Honor Society, recipient of a Leadership award at Davis & Elkins College, historian of the Health Occupation Students of America Club at the Randolph Technical Center and a former member of the yearbook staff at Elkins High School. In the fall, she will be a freshman at Davis & Elkins College, where she plans to major in nursing.

Kelsey Jean Hanlon

Kelsey Jean Hanlon was appointed by Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin. She is the daughter of Jan and David Hanlon of Chapmanville. Hanlon has one brother, Zachary Hanlon.

She is a 2013 graduate of Logan High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society, recipient of the WV Promise Scholarship and Little General Scholarship. In the fall, she will be a senior at Marshall University, where she is majoring in biology with a minor in chemistry and English.

Lauren Jo Harman

Lauren Jo Harman was appointed by Mountain State Forest Festival Director Scott Goddard. She is the daughter of Brent and Becky Harman of Lahmansville. She is the granddaughter of Robert and JoAnn Harman of Lahmansville and Betty Jo Calhoun of Petersburg and Jim and Debbie Calhoun of Hurricane. Harman has one brother, Evan, and one sister, Allison.

She is a 2016 graduate of Petersburg High School, where she graduated summa cum laude, was a member of the National Honor Society and was a varsity member of track, basketball and soccer teams. She also was involved in 4-H, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Grove Street United Methodist Youth. In the fall, she will be a freshman at Marshall University, where she plans to major in exercise science.

Gretchen Lee Kalar

Gretchen Lee Kalar was appointed by West Virginia Sen. Mitch Carmichael. She is the daughter of Michael Kalar of Charleston, South Carolina, and LeAnn Nutter of Elkins. She is the granddaughter of the late Bob Kalar and Lolita Kalar of Parsons and Janet Lee Gieble of Elkins. Kalar has one brother, Cameron.

She is a 2014 graduate of Elkins High School, where she was junior and senior class president, student government representative, a member of the National Honor Society and German Honor Society and a Kids Day volunteer. In the fall, she will be a junior at Marshall University, where she is majoring in public relations.

Jillian Grace Kinder

Jillian Grace Kinder was appointed by West Virginia Delegate Tim Miley. She is the daughter of Patricia Clark and Kevin Kinder of Charleston. She is the granddaughter of Kay S. Kinder and the late Earl Kinder of Charleston and Pat Clark Lowman and the late Bernard H. Clark of Charleston.

She is a 2015 graduate of Capital High School, where she graduated with honors, was a four-year letterman in tennis, three-year letterman in volleyball and a member of the National Honor Society. She was president of the Gay-Straight Alliance for two years, CHS Theatre Troop No. 4117 member, and historian for two years and vice-president for one year. She also received the highest honor international thespian, Rhododendron Girls State 2014 chief justice and junior counselor in 2016. In the fall, she will be a sophomore at West Virginia University, where she is majoring in civil engineering with minors in math and theatre production.

Janel Lynn Kittle

Janel Lynn Kittle was appointed by U.S. Sen. Joe Manchin III. She is the daughter of Jeff and Becky Kittle of Grafton. She is the granddaughter of Ron and Shirley Kittle of Grafton and Tom Burnell and Sherrie Strauderman of Fairmont.

She is a 2016 graduate of Grafton High School, where she graduated with high honors, was secretary of the National Honor Society, recipient of the Promise and Shenandoah scholarships, was a four-year member of the concert and marching bands, drum major, a three-year member of the soccer team, a four-year member of basketball team and was selected captain for two years. She also was a four-year member of the tennis team and a one-year member of the show choir. In the fall, she will be a freshman at West Virginia University, where she plans to major in political science.

Mateah Breian Kittle

Mateah Breian Kittle was appointed by West Virginia Sen. Douglas Facemire. She is the daughter of Matthew Kittle of Bridgeport and the late Dawne Kittle. She is the granddaughter of Marianna and the late Bob Kittle of Bridgeport and Lyle and Brenda Jones of Charleston. Kittle has one brother, Dahlton Kittle, and one sister, Hallie Kittle.

She is a 2016 graduate of Bridgeport High School, where she was the 2015 homecoming queen, band president, vice president of the National Honor Society, editor of the yearbook, a four-year member of frontline and symphonic band, captain of the girls track team for three years, a member of the cross country team and she was selected as a senior representative. In the fall, she will be a freshman at West Virginia University, where she plans to major in immunology and microbiology.

Chantelle Layce Leggett

Chantelle Layce Leggett was appointed by West Virginia Commissioner of Culture and History Randall Reid-Smith. She is the daughter of James and Tammy Leggett of Buckhannon. She is the granddaughter of the late Ralph Leggett and Bernadine Leggett of Buckhannon and Thomas Phillips of Norton and Letha Bennett of Norton. Leggett has one brother, Officer T.R. Collins, and one sister, Laikelyn Jaide Leggett.

She is a 2014 graduate of Buckhannon-Upshur High School, where she was an honor-roll student, cheer captain, recipient of the Union Scholarship, most spirited award winner and the 2011 Miss West Virginia Law Enforcement Teen Queen. In the fall, she will be taking online classes and is a full-time employee with the USDA.

Khori Paige Lowther

Khori Paige Lowther was appointed by West Virginia Delegate Peggy Donaldson Smith. She is the daughter of Scott and Kristi Gannon of Jane Lew and Matt and Heather Watkins of Wheeling. She is the granddaughter of Kris and Claudette Gannon of Weston and Bill Lowther of Wildcat and Dovie King of Weston. Lowther has five brothers, Kaleb, Kyle, Parker, Riley and Preston and one sister, Madison.

She is a 2016 graduate of Lewis County High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society, student council, homecoming court and was a varsity cheerleader for four years. She also was part of the PEP club, Friends of Racheal, Team Green, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and in the Stonewall Health Ambassador program. In the fall, she will be a freshman at West Virginia Wesleyan College, where she plans to major in nursing.

Kristina Ruth Mayo

Kristina Ruth Mayo was appointed by West Virginia Sen. Donna J. Boley. She is the daughter of Chris Mayo of Williamstown. She is the granddaughter of Robert and Patty Mayo of Williamstown.

She is a 2014 graduate of Williamstown High School, where she graduated with honors, was a member of the National Honor Society, Key Club, girls’s volleyball and track teams. She also was a Rhododendron Girls State participant.

In the fall, she will be a junior at Davis & Elkins College, where she is majoring in psychology with a minor in business.

Emily Louise McAtee

Emily Louise McAtee was appointed by West Virginia Delegate Denise Campbell. She is the daughter of Paul D. and Louise A. McAtee of Beverly. She is the granddaughter of Janet Shears and the late Richard Shears of Elkins and the late Loy C. and Katheryn L. McAtee of Huttonsville. McAtee has two brothers, Paul David of Daytona Beach, Florida, and Michael David of Beverly, and she has two sisters, Neena Walls of Clarksburg and Paula McAtee of Beverly.

She is a 2013 graduate of Elkins High School, where she was a member of Lucky Leaf 4-H, an honor-roll student and studied dance at Center Stage Studio. She graduated in 2015 from the Laurel Business Institute with highest honors and was chosen for the 2015 Distinguished Grad Award. She also has a degree in cosmetology and is employed full-time at Hair Graphics in Elkins.

Madison Lee Mullenax

Madison Lee Mullenax was appointed by Mountain State Forest Festival Board President Scott Harris. She is the daughter of Jack and Michele Mullenax of Parsons. She is the granddaughter of Danny Boggess of Parsons and Martha and Todd Patton of Flemington and the late Delton and Ruth Anne Mullenax of Parsons. Mullenax has one sister, Courtney Mullenax Nestor, and one brother-in-law, Ryan Nestor and nephew, Kace.

She is a 2015 graduate of Tucker County High School, where she was a letterman in track, cross country and basketball. She also was a class officer, a member of the National Honor Society, student council, HOSA, FCA and 4-H and, the Junior Equestrian Team. In the fall, she will be a sophomore at West Virginia University where she is majoring in dental hygiene.

Melissa Sarah Murphy

Melissa Sarah Murphy was appointed by West Virginia Sen. Robert Beach. She is the daughter of Mike and Karen Murphy of Durbin. She is the granddaughter of Frank and Barbara Murphy of Boyer and Carolyn Phillips and the late George Phillips of Green Bank. Murphy has a twin sister, Michelle.

She is a 2016 graduate of Pocahontas County High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society, FFA, 4-H and varsity girls basketball and track teams. She also placed first in the West Virginia State FFA Forestry Competition. In the fall, she will be a freshman at Potomac State College, where she plans to major in elementary education.

Michelle Rae Murphy

Michelle Rae Murphy was appointed by West Virginia Sen. William Laird. She is the daughter of Mike and Karen Murphy of Durbin. She is the granddaughter of Frank and Barbara Murphy of Boyer and Carolyn Phillips and the late George Phillips of Green Bank. Murphy has a twin sister, Melissa.

She is a 2016 graduate of Pocahontas County High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society, FFA, 4-H and varsity girls basketball and track teams. She also placed first in the West Virginia State FFA Forestry Competition. In the fall, she will be a freshman at Potomac State College, where she plans to major in business administration.

Isabella Marie Nieves

Isabella Marie Nieves was appointed by DNR Director Robert Fala. She is the daughter of Nicola Nieves and Jim Jackson of Elkins and Juan Nieves of Clover, South Carolina. She is the granddaughter of Mary Jo DeMotto and Terry Shimbo of Elkins. Nieves has two brothers, Max and Luke Jackson.

She is a 2014 graduate of Elkins High School, where she lettered four years in soccer. In the fall, she will be a junior at West Virginia University, where she is majoring in criminology with a minor in international studies.

Cassandra Renee’ Plishka

Cassandra Renee’ Plishka was appointed by West Virginia Sen. Art Kirkendoll. She is the daughter of John and Erika Plishka of Elkins. She is the granddaughter of Francis and Yvonne Tait of Morgantown and the late John and Frances Plishka of Smithfield, Pennsylvania. Plishka has one brother, Joel, and one sister, Lydia.

She is a 2015 graduate of Elkins High School, where she lettered three times in volleyball, made the honor roll each year, was a member of the National Honor Society and German National Honor Society and Tigerette Captain in the EHS band. In the fall, she will be a sophomore at West Virginia University, where she is majoring in biology and made the Dean’s list and the WVU President’s list her freshman year.

Mikinna

Serenda Poling

Mikinna Serenda Poling was appointed by Monongahela National Forest Supervisor Clyde Thompson. She is the daughter of Matthew and Mateal Poling of Buckhannon. She is the granddaughter of the late Winston and Margaret Moss Wamsley of Buckhannon and the late Gareld Poling of Buckhannon. Poling has two sisters, Mikaela and Mikenze.

She is a 2015 graduate of Buckhannon-Upshur High School, where she excelled in classical dance techniques, was the first West Virginian student to attend the World Food Prize and was a major part of more than 30 award and service clubs. Additionally, she was involved in a youth exchange to Austria through the Lions Club. In the fall, she will be a sophomore at West Virginia University, where she is majoring in hospitality and tourism management.

Riley Shae Queen

Riley Shae Queen was appointed by West Virginia Sen. Corey Palumbo. She is the daughter of Jason and Jamie Queen of Buckhannon. She is the granddaughter of Roger and Joan Sharp of Valley Head and Gary and Laura Queen of Buckhannon. Queen has one sister, Macie Queen.

She is a 2016 graduate of Buckhannon-Upshur High School, where she was a member of the National Honors Society, National Art Honors Society, was student body vice president, was in student council and Youth in Government. She was selected as the 2016 homecoming queen, was Rhododendron Girls State treasurer, lacrosse team captain and Service Scholar. In the fall, she will be a freshman at West Virginia Wesleyan College, where she plans to major in biology/pre-veterinary science.

Gabryelle Elise Rayfield

Gabryelle Elise Rayfield was appointed by Mountain State Forest Festival Director Scott Goddard. She is the daughter of Amrit and Kelly Rayfield of Elkins. She is the granddaughter of Stanley and Brenda Teets of Elkins and the late Phill Rayfield and David and Bonnie Vass of Crisfield, Maryland.

She is a 2016 graduate of Elkins High School. In the fall, she will be a freshman at West Virginia University, where she plans to major in design.

Aubree Leigh Riley

Aubree Leigh Riley was appointed by Mountain State Forest Festival Board President Scott Harris.  She is the daughter of Carol Ann Riley of Kingwood and Nimrod Lee Riley of Arthurdale. She is the granddaughter of Mary Elizabeth and Donald Hubert Snyder of Greensburg, Pennsylvania, and Dorothy Riley of Arthurdale. Riley has one sister, Anna Leigh Edmunds.

She is a 2016 graduate of Preston High School, where she was a member of the National Honors Society and Knights of the Round Table. She graduated as a completer in therapeutic services and is certified as a medical assistant and a phlebotomist. She also is a member of the Mt. Vernon climbers 4-H club and is very active in 4-H at the county, state and national levels. In the fall, she will be a freshman at West Virginia University, where she plans to major in nursing.

Victoria Shea Riley

Victoria Shea Riley was appointed by West Virginia Sen. Mike Romano. She is the daughter of Kevin and Melissa Riley of Weston. She is the granddaughter of Delegate Peggy Donaldson Smith and Dr. Michael Smith of Weston and Clara Ann Moran of Weston. Riley has one sister, Keely Cunningham.

She is a 2014 graduate of Lewis County High School, where she graduated in the Top 15 of her class, was four-time all conference for softball, Big 10 Pitcher of the Year in 2013 and earned a Presidential Scholarship to West Virginia Wesleyan College. In the fall, she will be a junior at West Virginia Wesleyan College, where she is majoring in exercise science. She also is a sister of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, where she serves as Alumnae Relations Chair, and she is a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success.

Sarah Elizabeth Savage

Sarah Elizabeth Savage was appointed by West Virginia Secretary of State Natalie Tennant. She is the daughter of Mark and Tammy Savage of Kingwood. She is the granddaughter of Bill and Phyllis Savage of Kingwood and Ruth Sevaca of Masontown.

She is a 2016 graduate of Preston High School, where she was a member of the Excalibur Chapter of the National Honor Society, serving as treasurer. She also was a four-year member of the Preston High varsity football, basketball and competition cheer team, where she was awarded First Team All-Conference Big Ten varsity cheerleader. She was a member of Key Club International, honorary math and science club and was selected on the homecoming court in 2011 and 2012. In the fall, she will be a freshman at West Virginia University, where plans to major in nursing.

Deidre Kay Shahan

Deidre Kay Shahan was appointed by West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey. She is the daughter of Frank and Debbie Shahan of Kingwood. She is the granddaughter of the late Paul W. and Dorothy Mildred Shahan of Terra Alta and Charles and Doris Wotring of Kingwood. Shahan has one brother, Matthew.

She is a 2014 graduate of Preston High School, where she was on the honor roll every year, had perfect attendance and was a senior princess on the Preston County Buckwheat Festival’s Court in 2013. Shahan also graduated from Pierpont Community & Technical College in May 2016, where she majored in business management and graduated with honors and was named “Business Management Outstanding Student.”

Sonja Sahar Skinner

Sonja Sahar Skinner was appointed by Mountain State Forest Festival Director Scott Goddard. She is the daughter of Randy and Maritza Skinner of Elkins. She is the granddaughter of A. Keith and Lonna Skinner of Junior.

She is a 2014 graduate of Elkins High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society and International Thespian Honor Society. She was a participant in class council and student council, where she served as student body secretary. She was a Rhododendron Girls State participant and performed as a dancer for the Gandy Dancer Theatre. As a dancer, she was a seven-year performer with Center Stage Studio of Dance. In the fall, she will be a junior at Davis & Elkins College, where she is majoring in exercise science.

Hannah Sierra Swick was appointed by West Virginia Sen. Dave Sypolt. She is the daughter of Howard and Benita Swick of Philippi. She is the granddaughter of Doris Nuzum and the late Darious Nuzum and the late Lawrence and Pauline Swick of Philippi. Swick has one sister, Kaitlin.

She is a 2016 graduate of Philip Barbour High School, where she graduated magna cum laude, was a member of the National Honors Society, Biology Club, Song Leader and was Philip Barbour Idol winner. In the fall, she will be a freshman at Fairmont State University, where she plans to major in nursing.

Layla Rae Teter

Layla Rae Teter was appointed by West Virginia Sen. Robert Plymale. She is the daughter of Arthur and Nancy Teter of Harman.

She is a 2013 graduate of Harman High School, where she graduated valedictorian, was a Golden Horseshoe winner and president of the National Honor Society. In May 2016 she graduated from Davis & Elkins College as a registered nurse.

Hannah Margaret Toney

Hannah Margaret Toney was appointed by Mountain State Forest Festival Board President Scott Harris. She is the daughter of Steve and Christine Toney of Elkins. She is the granddaughter of William and Midge Graham of Morgantown and Buddy and Judy Toney of Moneta, Virginia. Toney has three brothers, Wesley, Daniel and Micah Toney.

She was homeschooled and graduated in 2016. She was a member of the National Technical Honor Society, FBLA — Future Business Leaders of America and ACF Youth Group. She also was a member/instructor for the West Virginia Highland Dancers and active in Young Life campus ministry. In the fall, she will be a freshman at Grove City College, where she plans to major in accounting.

Jennifer Marie Walker

Jennifer Marie Walker was appointed by U.S. Sen. Shelley Moore Capito. She is the daughter of Michael Walker of Morgantown and Lisa Walker of High Point, North Carolina. She is the granddaughter of Richard Walker of Hurricane and Catherine Crotty of Pittsburgh and Richard and Joyce Bruder of High Point, North Carolina.

She is a 2014 graduate of Lucy C. Ragsdale High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society and Beta Club. She also served as vice president of the peer tutoring organization and graduated sixth in her class of 300 students. In the fall, she will be a junior at West Virginia University, where she is double majoring in political science and history.

Savannah Carol Waybright

Savannah Carol Waybright was appointed by West Virginia Delegate Bill Hartman. She is the daughter of Donnie and Michelle Hedrick of Elkins and Marty and Christina Waybright of Belington. She is the granddaughter of James Roth and Linda Ingham of Elkins and the late Edgar Waybright and Carol Maken. Waybright has two brothers, Caleb Waybright of Norfolk, Virginia, and Austin Waybright, and one sister, Brianna.

She is a 2014 graduate of Elkins High School. In the fall, she will be a junior at Davis & Elkins College, where she is majoring in nursing.

Elizabeth Lodoska Zirkle

Elizabeth Lodoska Zirkle was appointed by Commissioner of Corrections Jim Rubenstein. She is the daughter of Kathie and Danny Staten of Junior and Jason and Cheryl Zirkle of Mabie. She is the granddaughter of Dennis and Pat Calain of Elkins and Roger and Sharon Zirkle of Mabie. Zirkle has three brothers, Matthew Zirkle, Hunter Staten and Dalton Staten.

She is a 2016 graduate of Elkins High School. In the fall, she will be a freshman at West Virginia Wesleyan College, where she plans to major in special education with an emphasis in autism and minor in dance.
