Harman outlasts Highland

Alex Armentrout scored a game-high 28 points and went over 1,000 points for his career in helping lead Harman past Highland County 69-59 in overtime in non-conference action Monday.

Armentrout, who was the eighth to officially get to 1,000 points in school history, also had eight rebounds for the Panthers.

“I’m very happy to see Alex get this,” Harman coach Fred Davis said. “He has really worked hard in the off season and he deserves this honor.”

“I’m very happy to get 1,000 points for my career,” armiferous said. “I’ve really worked hard in the offsets, at the beginning of the year I didn’t know how close I?was, I wasn’t even think about it,”

Armentrout said. “I’ve really worked hard in the offseason. At the beginning of the year I didn’t know how close I?was, I wasn’t even thinking about it.”

Will Semmelman added 16 points and four rebounds, while Kaleb Shifflet chipped in with 13 points and seven rebounds for the Panthers.

Casey Elza followed with 12 points and 12 rebounds for Harman.

Harman travels to Union tonight for a Potomac Valley Conference matchup at 7:30 p .m.
