Lady Senators get past UPJ

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – Davis & Elkins outscored Pitt-Johnstown 14-4 over the final 3:19 en route to a 63-54 win at Pitt-Johnstown Thursday night in West Virginia Conference action.

Page Turner amassed 17 points for the Lady Senators (7-7, 6-4 WVC) on 6-of-10 shooting, including a four-of-six effort from beyond the arc. She also had five rebounds and five steals. Sharmaine Baker came off the bench to net 12 points.

In the loss, Nicole Carman poured in 17 points. Kaitlynn Fratz accounted for 11 points and five assists, while Rachel Johnson snared a game-high 12 rebounds.

Wesleyan 67, Ohio Valley 58

VIENNA – West Virginia Wesleyan notched a 67-58 road win at Ohio Valley Thursday evening in a WVIAC contest.

Wesleyan (5-8, 4-6 WVC) was led by Allie Browne’s 20 points and six assists. Brittany Maxey accounted for a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds to go along with six assists. Kerry Conroy scored 14 while Danesha Richardson had 13 points.

Shelby Way had 13 points in the loss.

Wesleyan will host Wheeling Jesuit at 2 p.m. Saturday in WVC play.
